From the way it’s made to what happens after it’s been used, the sustainability of our packaging is a priority.
Simply put, we do whatever we can to make sure our materials and manufacturing processes don’t harm the planet – so we can focus on driving towards our ultimate aim: supplying packaging that achieves net-zero contamination.
The Tyler Packaging promise
When we say sustainability is our priority, we mean it. Ever since we started, we’ve felt the same way, in fact. It’s that level of commitment which has helped us to become a leader in this worldwide social goal. So, what keeps us so focused?
Our ultimate goal: Net-zero contamination. By keeping it in view, everything we do helps us pursue it.
The entire product lifecycle. Weighing up materials and required energy resources used in production lets us know what we need to avoid.
Paper and glass alternatives that keep our energy consumption, pollution levels and carbon footprint a lot lower.
Sustainability in numbers
The facts and figures of climate change can’t be ignored. And when the stats are this stark, it makes sustainability impossible to ignore as a goal. These are just a few of the reasons we make every effort to create packaging that’s as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible.
Studies have shown that if packaging was made from entirely flexible materials, then up to 75% less material would enter the waste stream.
Making a sheet of A4 paper uses up to 20 litres of water, and releases toxic chemicals, such as the chlorine needed for bleaching, into waterways.
In the northern hemisphere, deforestation is happening at unsustainable rates of as much as 7.6 million hectares every year, most notably in Brazil.
Our approach
A lot goes into our approach to sustainable packaging, and we’re proud of that fact. As a leader in the field, this is what we do – and how we go about doing it.
What we do
In our quest for net-zero contamination, we are continually developing our packaging to improve its performance. Through this consistent optimisation, we look at what to do more of, what to do less of and everything else we can do to reduce our packaging’s impact on the planet.
How we do it
By being a member of the Pet Sustainability Coalition
By using more recycled and bio-based materials across our product range
By transitioning our packaging to 100% recyclable, refillable or compostable by 2025
