As we reflect on the first month of Spring before our long Easter weekend, we look back at another wonderful few weeks at Tyler Packaging. From trade shows to International Women’s Day – we have been celebrating our females, our employees, and have been traveling the globe. Here is an insight into the many events that have been keeping us busy.
Trade Shows
During the middle of March, Adam and Richard jetted off to find the sunshine as we exhibited at the international trade show Iberzoo, in Madrid, Spain. The show, which was based all around pets, gave us a chance to show off our many bags designed for the Pet Food industry and talk to potential new consumers about what we have to offer. It was a great opportunity to meet our existing customers in person and potential new customers. We had some very positive discussions and developed new opportunities in a country where we are growing at a rate with great success. The show lasted 3 days and we had a great time and met some amazing people – it’s just a shame that we came home to the rain.
International Woman’s Day
On Friday 8th March, we made a dedication to our female employees, suppliers and ladies of the world, as we celebrated International Woman’s Day! To help us celebrate the day, we had lots of things planned – we bought cakes from an independent female baker in Coventry – Emma’s Bakes and Events, check out her treats on Instagram! We wrote cards to all the special women in our lives, and there was a small gift of flowers bought for all our amazing female employees. We also held a quiz based around women now, and in history, who have all helped to shape the world we live in today. A special day to learn about and celebrate special people!
Employee Appreciation Day
As well as celebrating our female employees on International Women’s Day, we celebrated all our employees on Employee Appreciation Day on the 1st March. Adam, Mark, and Lucy delivered some little prezzies to our special employees to say thank you for all the amazing work they do, and also let us go home an hour early!
Go Yellow Day
Also during the month, we took part in Go Yellow Day for Marie Curie UK, and we raised money with a yellow-themed bake-off! From cheese scones to lemon curd tarts, our team put in a tremendous effort to create some incredibly delicious bakes! Congratulations to our joint winners of the bake off, Holli and Levi! We also held a sweepstake to find where the daffodil was hidden, which was won by Levi. Thanks to all who took part and helping us raise lots of money for charity!
Easter Egg Collection for Myton Hospice
We also we wanted to share about the Myton Hospice Easter Egg Collection, arranged by Pertemps, in which we donated to. Myton Hospices are a charity who are leaders in compassionate end of life care and we like to support the Leamington Spa team where possible. We have had a great collection this year, collecting just over 20 Eggs! Thanks to all who have donated eggs in the office, we hope to have made a difference this Easter!
Meet the New Employees
Finally, we would like to welcome two new faces to the Tyler Family, Claire, a member of the Account Management team, and Tommy, who has joined our Business Development Team. We are excited to have them at Tyler and look forward to getting to know them more!
