The Tyler team had a fun and festive end to 2023, along with some charity events, we celebrated Christmas in style. To round off the year, here’s what the Tyler team have been up to!
Movember
During the month of November, a few of us attempted to grow moustaches to raise money for Movember, the well-known charity which is aimed at raising awareness of men’s mental health and prostate cancer. Thanks to everyone’s kind donations, we raised £450 after setting ourselves the target of £250! Below you can see all the final pictures of some great moustaches, and some not so great. However, we did not just grow ‘taches, Sam also completed his 60 for 60 move for Movember, running 60k over the month to remember the 60 men who we lose globally to suicide an hour. Thanks to all who took part and donated for this cause, it will sure make a difference.
Operation Christmas Child
We have once again taken part in Operation Christmas Child, a event ran by the Samaritans charity. This event distribute shoebox’s packed with gifts and love for those less fortunate. Due to the donations from the Tyler team, we were able to pack 10 boxes, 8 for girls and 2 for boys. The boxes were filled with books, yoyo’s, balls, pencils, hats, gloves and lots more, enough for a child to be entertained and keep them warm. We really hope that we were able to make a difference and a child had a happier Christmas because of this!
Christmas Buffet
On Thursday 14th, we held a little Christmas Buffet for lunch, and enjoyed a festive themed quiz led by Rachael. This had some Christmas inspired movie and music questions (and some difficult ones included for sure), and the quiz was won by Tony! Our buffet featured foods such as Christmas flavoured crisps, platters of cheese, quiches, and a lot of Pork Pies! A very delicious Christmas feast!
Christmas Party
On Friday 15th, we had our Christmas party, starting with Secret Santa in the office. Lots of gifts were given out, and everyone was left with a smile (or a laugh) on their face. Some great gifts included Mark’s dancing hat, Lucy’s giant finger pointer, and Holly’s new toy for her dog which lasted only 5 minutes when she got home. Later in the evening, we all met at the Terrace in Leamington to start our Christmas party. After enjoying a delicious meal, which some describe as the best steak they’ve ever eaten, the festivities began with some Karaoke. We then moved into the bar to enjoy some live music and danced the night away! A very enjoyable evening which was filled with joy and laughter!
We have really enjoyed the final month of the year! We hope our readers had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
